Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner

Keep your home comfortable year-round, by heating and cooling with a reverse cycle air conditioner.

How does it work?

Reverse cycle air conditioning means that the air conditioner’s inside operation can be reversed to output either indoor heating or cooling. It works by transferring heat out of the air by passing it through refrigerated coils, instead of the electrically heated metal coils you see in most space heaters.

This energy efficient method means that running costs can be as low as one-third of those for direct element heaters. By simply reversing the refrigerant’s flow, reverse cycle air conditioners give the same efficiency in their cooling methods.

Reverse Cycle Advantages:

  • A more economical form of heating
  • Heating and cooling from one main unit
  • Unit stays cool to the touch, even when heating
  • No exposed metal elements or flame
  • 20-year lifespan (or more!)
  • They both dehumidify and filter the air you breathe
